International Judicial Cooperation

Interested Practitioners: Implementing the European Arrest Warrant: Promoting Human Rights

Description

The AWARE-EAW e-Learning course focuses on the main aspects of the European Arrest Warrant (EAW) as the cornerstone instrument in EU judicial cooperation in criminal matters. This version of the course is for lawyers, NGO practitioners, academia and researchers, as it includes general chapters of interest for a broader audience working in this field.

After reflecting on the main characteristics of the EAW, especially in light of the post-Brexit extradition agreement, the course concludes with reflections on the future of the EAW, considering recent developments such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This course is a product of the EU-funded AWARE-EAW project, as a central part of its capacity-building component.
